I say:
Well... I was told I would HATE this. Hmmmmmmmm...
You know what? I LOVE it!
It is totally silly, seems to take the p**s when you first take it out of it's box but it is obviously such a clever idea it's simplicity is viciously deceptive. It is PROPER tangential thinking... it's actually so clever that it ranks very highly indeed in my book of "proper" magic thinking. Heck, it TOTALLY fooled my wife and she has seen every kind of gaff and gag out there and she, like me, is a special effects artist to boot!
For those of you who know what it is PLEEEEASE don't hint at it or give it away, it's too good. For those who don't know what it is (for sure) you might well be totally surprised.
The surprising thing is that with some thought this can be used for gut busting comedy, for drama, or as part of a street smart, mind control style, suedo-conman routine. The laughs you could get with it are priceless and the seeming audacity of what you "do" will make you look like "Jack-the-biscuit"!!!
The quality of the item is very good and quite "realistic", having said that, the effect is not for really close work. Imagine a good parlour distance or "across a pub" distance... in fact I can't WAIT to play with this in a pub! I will try not to get arrested or punched!
Overall:
Quite impressive thinking. Very useful for those who want to do some very funny, edgy or dodgy-looking stuff. Not ideal for particularly close up work, inexpensive and well made...I want 2 more to play with!
If we can hit that bullseye then the rest of the dominoes will fall like a house of cards... Checkmate!
