What happens:
a rubik's cube is shown nicely mixed up, shown from all sides, rolled across a table, thrown in the air, freely shown all lovingly mixed up...

you mix it up some more, and toss it in the air...

when it lands, the sides are completed...

I say, i say, i say...
briefly, very clever - i did on my second attempt, foul it up, after not completely reading the instructions...so i spent 15 minutes reconstructing it...now its all safe and sound and working again...

a simple prep, and you're ready to roll...

there's a tiny bit of memory work needed, 5 "things", nothing that 30 minutes (yes ellusionist-boy, a whole 30 minutes worth of practice!) won't sort out...

nothing to switch, ditch or dive...one nation under a cube...

good fun, pretty simple to do once over the fear of "oh no, what if i mess up and have to take it apart", might be fun to do this blindfold...

might be too pricey if you rush the effect, but with the right presentation and concentration you'll be fine...

You know, this little gem never fails to great a gasp from the audience and establishes my credibility early on. I have always loved this and often use it as an opener.

Had this for quite some time... and although the idea of doing it blindfold sounds appealing, it can be really dangerous unless a certain 'thing' can be made to be tactile. Let's just say start-point orientation is important !

Anyway, I would say 80% of people would get this and think "What, that's it? What utter carp!"

And 10% of people would get it and think 'Wow, so simple, will try it on the wife/spouse/cat' and then resign it to the bottom drawer.

And the odd 10% will use it well, ham it up a little, and make a total showpiece out of it.

God bless the latter 10%.

if you're blindfolded - it depends which way you look!

I got this delivered this morning and have just put it back together after going wrong, I then tried again and done the same thing.
I'm going to be far more careful next time.

I do love the method and cannot wait to try it out as a walkaround attention grabber similar to the way garrett thomas uses it in the Jailhouse dvds. And boy am I gonna ham it up a storm

Don't know about the current versions, but the one I had from Supreme Magic came with an additional 'thing' which enabled you to show the cube 'completely' completed, if you get my drift.

Never any good for more than a flash, mind you

I like the idea of that routine, and in the past I've always liked it more, so it might just be me knowing what's coming, but this time I thought the presentation was funny, but the handling of the magic itself wasn't too great. I did like how they went from small effects and led up to a large scale illusion like that.
