Extra Credit by Joshua Jay

I just bought this effect from Joshua at a lecture I attended recently. "Extra Credit" is part of his Wonder Wallet Series and it is meant to play as an entire routine.

What is "Extra Credit"?

It is basically a small collection of gag type photos, most of which strike immediate comedy bits. As an example, one photo is of a McDonald's restuarant (Golden Arches and all). You ask a spectator to name any city in the World. No matter which city they say, you show them the picture of the McDonald's restaurant claiming it to be in the city they just named.

Okay, so some of the bits are goofy...but, it sets up the rest of the routine.

You show several of these gag photos and some real ones as well (Joshua suggests placing photos of yourself and family or your significant other into the mix).

You go through the photos and provide the comedy bits as you go along. Two of the photos are the King of Hearts and King of Spades which magically change into two other kings...Louie the 14th and Elvis Presley.

...This is one of three magical moments. There are two more magical moments...one is a prediction and the other is the final effect: Card to Wallet.

The Card to Wallet effect uses a brilliant method which will fool spectators and Magicians alike. The final reveal of the card inside your wallet is also an unmistakeable last bit of comedy to round out the entire routine. Although the card inside your wallet is the one the spectator selected earlier from a shuffled deck, it is revealed in a humorous way.

I don't want to give away too much. Let me just say that I am very pleased with "Extra Credit".

Extra Credit comes with all the necessary gag cards, an instructional DVD and a small plastic wallet (similar to those packet tricks are sold with).

It was $25.00 Dollars well spent!

You can check it out at Joshua's site here:

I too saw this at a Joshua Jay lecture and would say you can entertain with this for quite a few minutes and I never laughed so hard. A picture of my grandmother and her dog was a great subtlety to the card in pocket. It was a great lecture and I felt fortunate to get the last copy of the book Destroyers. If Joshua is in your area, go see him. You won't be dissappointed.
Cheers
Al

I've been recently browsing his website and was intrigued by this effect.

I'll probably buy it from the man himself as he's lecturing later in the year.

Thank you for the review
