The Effect
See picture below. Another nice looking flash deck.

Cost
£6.99 from http://www.worldmagicshop.co.uk/black-c ... -3611.html

Difficulty
(1=easy to do, 2=No sleights, but not so easy, 3=Some sleights used,
4=Advanced sleights used, 5=Suitable for experienced magicians only)
Depends what you do with them - it's a deck of cards!

Review
For once a nice deck that's not made by Ellusionist. What drew me to these cards is that the dark look of them kind of appealed.
Yes, there will no doubt be a barrage of responses saying that you should use standard Bikes as the spectator will think they are 'special' cards, which I agree with, but there is also the kind of spectator that expects a magician to have some kind of 'posh' cards.
I prefer to use these kind of cards for darker or occult based effects as it can add to the ambience of the story.

This deck is similar in many ways to the Tiger ones but the difference s that there is, as well as the red pips, colour on the court cards which looks, in my opinion, rather nice.
There are a few gaff cards included which allow you to perform certain effects. These are:

A blank faced card
A DF'er
A card with a red bike case front on it's face
An 'elevator' card which can be used for a Vanishing deck effect

There is also a revelation contained on the case flaps, which can seem crass and obvious if used, but a nice touch is that the gaff cards have the same card on them meaning you could perform a series of effects in a routine using the spectators card. Even the elevator card is the same so you could vanish the whole deck just leaving the specs card.

Overall
Expensive, but nice looking deck which is better value than it would be thanks to the addition of some useful gaff cards.

Nice review Freddie

I agree and perhaps these are even nicer looking that some of the E decks. I also like the red version and they also do them in yellow and I thing blue.

The black is the best of the bunch

It's not really an optical illusion - it just looks like one!

Thanks mate. The yellow and red decks look very tempting too. There is something nice about the look of them and even if you choose not to perform with them, for people that just like cards, they are nice to have.

They handle well too, but I can't speak as for their durability as I have only used them for a few performances and the effects I have been using them for are not ones that put cards through their paces. They have a nice feel though and I think they may last a while.

The review was quite good. So good in fact it was nearly convincing.
But for some reason, I do not like these cards (including the other 'bright colours'). There is just something about them that makes them not appeal to me.

Though there are some pastel coloured ones out there that I do like.

Could you put anymore explanation on the 'elevator card' without revealing anything?

Just got mine.
Not bad.
Maybe I'm not understanding something about the "Elevator Card" but I think
I don't have one!

I do have the following:
Black faced card
Red Bicycle Deck cardbox card/white faced 2S
DF joker/QH
Vanished Deck card (2S)

Am I missing something ?
