The Effect
The blurb from the box.
From the creator of Interlace, Fiber Optics, Super Cuts and more, comes a bill change that is so visually incredible you'll think you're watching a Hollywood special effect!
Count out five bills, one at a time. Show then the front and backs and lay them flat on your hand. With no folding, no cover, no nothing...The bills visibly change!
That's it. You are now holding five completely different bills. They are real bills.
If Harry Potter could do a bill change, this is what it wold look like!
Cost
Around £15 to £20 when it gets to the shops. Sanders sold out at Blackpool although it's rumoured that he only had 100 copies.
Difficulty
(1=easy to do, 2=No sleights, but not so easy, 3=Some sleights used,
4=Advanced sleights used, 5=Suitable for experienced magicians only)
About a 1.5 as the gimmick does most of the work.
Review
This was one of the star products at Blackpool and there is no denying that the change looked super cool.
The DVD is reasonably well produced and comes with the necessary gimmick which I think will surprise a lot of peope when they open it up.
The effect is a remake of the Pat Page Easy Money routine, a version of which is sold by JB magic for around a fiver with printed instructions. Sanders has added a small inexpensive metal gimmick and video recorded the making of the paper gimmick, the fitting of the metal gimmick and a variety of different ways of changing the bills.
To be honest, an experience magician should be able to work out his own handling from the printed instructions and it doesn't take that much imagination to make your own paper gimmick from the template that is included in the printed JB version. Therefore, the difference in price is for the metal gimmick which makes the change appear more visual.
Overall
It's unfortunate in some ways that the secret of the metal gimmick and how it works will probably not stay secret for long thanks to Youtube etc.
My own view is that if you haven't got a bill change already and want one, then this will be a good purchsse. If you already have then like me, I think that you're going to be a little disapointed when you realise how similar Extreme Burn is to what you probably already have.
I'd therefore rate this at 8 from 10

It's not really an optical illusion - it just looks like one!
