Amazing Magic Tricks with Sponge Balls

Postby pboparis » Wed Mar 12, 2008 5:59 pm

First Review:

Title: Amazing Magic Tricks with Sponge Balls from Royal Magic
Cost: I got it for 15 euros (11,494 pounds) Surely you can get for 10 pounds but there's shipping.

Difficulty
(1=easy to do, 2=No sleights, but not so easy, 3=Some sleights used,
4=Advanced sleights used, 5=Suitable for experienced magicians only)
I'd say 3

On this Dvd you will learn:
- to do many ways to Vanish and Appear a ball
- Change the color of a sponge ball ( you can do it with a coin )
- Cause a sponge cube into two sponge balls
- Cause a sponge ball to jump from your fist into a spectator's
- A routine which consists the spectator to guess how many balls you have in your hand they will never guess except if they already saw the trick I think it's called 2 in hand, one in pocket

Overall
I think this DVD is very good for people that are starting to do magic with sponge balls, I got this DVD and he explains it well sometimes a bit fast but you can go less fast by adjusting your DVD settings

The title is composed of
- Film
- Performance menu
- Explanation menu
- Bonus (add for other products from Royal Magic which is fun to watch)

I would give it a 16/20

That is a lot of shipping!
Why can't all mathematical notation be universal? Why!?!? (sorry, maths rant)
I nearly ranted about this too

but there's not really anything wrong with it.

OK, sponges, right, I'm thinking about getting something, is everyone just going to reccommend toolbox?
Help me get to Blackpool 2012 please?

I've looked at this in the past, it's £9.99 from emagictricks.co.uk by the way.

It's a nice place to start with sponge balls but I think toolbox is better value.

If you have to, sponge off someone to get the extra fiver for toolbox. You'll be pleased you did. :D

Lawrence, I bought Noblezada's Sponge DVD and have no complaints about it; I'm guessing that suggesting Sponge may link back to a previous review being a newbie, but for value for money over 'Amazing Magic Tricks with Sponge Balls' I'd recommend it.

Lots more content & 4 sponge balls to boot, plus I like the production of Noblezada's DVDs, they're really well explained & lots of different angles too.
That said, I haven't seen Toolbox, so I'd recommend comparing those two and seeing what you think

** Can I link to store products on here or is that frowned upon?? It's not my store, but it is where I buy lots of bits! **
Why use a long word when a diminuitive one will suffice?

You can certainly mention stores where you've had good value and/or service - as long as it doesn't sound too much like an advert  !

I'm not. I'm going to recommend "Earplugs" by Jay Sankey

Review starts on page one obviously - my views on it are on page 2:
