Tele Thought Wallet

Postby Tony Hyams » Apr 14th, '08, 22:23

The Effect:
A spectator writes down anything they choose on a small card….a number, word, symbol, picture, etc. The card is inserted face down into a sleek, black wallet. Instantly, you know the information! No strange moves, nothing is taken away, and the wallet can remain in full view at all times.

Cost:
$59, about £30 (for the small wallet)

Difficulty:
(1=easy to do, 2=No sleights, but not so easy, 3=Some sleights used,
4=Advanced sleights used, 5=Suitable for experienced magicians only)
1 Very Easy

Review:
As this wallet has now been released at elmwood magic I thought I would review it. This has to be my favourite peek wallets so far, it is well made the angles are great and the method is so simple. The wallet itself is just larger than a playing card, it’s made of leather, has 2 window compartments on the outside, and 2 compartments on the inside. One used for the peek, and the other you can use for your business cards. I got the tele thought wallet at the Blackpool convention and have used it ever since.

Overall:
A great peek wallet that will last a lifetime.

This looks similar in design and execution to the Outlaw Wallet...

How would you compare it (if at all) to The Thought Transmitter - by John Cornelius ?

I love this wallet. I got the small one at Blackpool. It's the best PW I've ever used. The results are stunning. I use mine as a credit card holder and it doesn't look out of place. It's a wallet I'm very comfortable using.

(Can you tell I like it) :) :D :)

ps I haven't seen the Outlaw Magnum yet, but comparisons can be made. I prefer the simple design to the more wallet-like Outlaw Magnum. The telethought looks like something I would carry.

I would recommend this over the thought transmitter as you can use this in daylight. And also, you don't need to replace a certain something when it runs out.

Sounds good. My first wallet was the Mind Reader Wallet which is a copy (although I didn't realise at the time) of the Thought Transmitter. When the MRW ran out I bought the Thought Transmitter & put the 'cough' into the MRW wallet so I know have the more powerful TT 'Cough' used in the more realistic looking Mind Reader Wallet. I might look into this one though when the 'Cough' runs out.

I'm off ot neck a few bottles of Covonia now.
