Is there an option for spellchecking?

I know some do not have english as a first language and often their initial posts may come across wrong due to that reason.

I also sometimes miss letters out (due to a dodgy keyboard) and only notice later on of a spelling mistake.

Just a thought?

You could change to using firefox as your web browser and use the free spell checker available on it. Unfortunately this will not correct grammar.

You beat me to it, Jobasha. I'm seriously considering writing a Firefox extension that corrects the sort of errors that only appear after you press send ...like my habit of writing "fro" instead of "for". Grrr...

why not write in word and use the spell checker and then cut and paste into the forum?

It's not really an optical illusion - it just looks like one!
