The Space Between - Jason Palter

The Effect :"Possess the power to predict the space between any two objects"

Cost

£39.99 (bit steap)

Difficulty

(1=easy to do, 2=No sleights, but not so easy, 3=Some sleights used,
4=Advanced sleights used, 5=Suitable for experienced magicians only)

1-3 works itself, just present it confident

Review

Ok so it does exactly what it says on the box...You hand a specator a sealed envelope (that yes does already have the prediction in it!!).

You ask them to place two objects at a distance apart of their choice...You get them to hold the end of the tape measure and then you measure the distance...they look a the measurement and say it out loud...Then the envelope is opened and the prediction matches exactly...

Overall
This is most defo goin in my act, its random and just weird and I love it....
The possibilties are endless....lots of fun to be had...The price is a little steap, although you get a dvd and a heavy duty tape measure that you could always use in the home for DIY...Palters clever idea is a real gem me thinks...A must for any Close-up Magician/mentalist that likes a bit of fun and randomness in their routines..Overall a very clean trick!

Seems a bit expensive when you could do the same routine using certain Swami powers for next to nothing.

I like the idea though - something slightly different to names, amounts of money and dates 8)

maybe not quite but with the right handling and using an envelope it would be just as powerful to the muggle and a fraction of the cost :)

Yes like I said in the review, it could be used for some home DIY...it can be examined by the spec if neccesary.

Fair point on the cost thing...but I want to perform this to Magicians aswell as Muggles, and I want the Magicians to think Im using a swami or tt but Im not so itll confuse them....

You can make this for the price of a tape measure...but then ur not just paying for that are you! Your paying for someones time and thought that has gone into the effect.

Rito so I tried this on my biggest skeptic last night! The missus....

She hadnt a clue to its workings and she thought it was ace....however using her persuasive ways she made me tell her how it was done...lol...She thinks its very clever...so if it impressed her, a muggle would defo be fooled...afterall shes a bit of a mudblood!
