Andrew Normansell 100% Commercial Mentalism

Postby Card Detective » Fri Oct 24, 2008 5:57 pm

This is the second of a series of three DVD´s. This one deals with mentalism. The production of the three DVD´s is of the usual high stardard by RSVP, and they are sold by Alakazam.
This one contains mentalism and are most presented from a platform. I think that some are better suited to a close up scenario.
The presentations needs scripting but I suppose Mr Normansell is just running through the effects so that we write our own scripts.

Contents:

Mock
This is an adaptation of a Max Maven idea combining a stack and marked deck to devine a specator´s chosen card.

Dr X
This is an effective prediction of one in five cards. Very direct.

The Janus Game
An interesting use of special cards for a premonition.

Rising Sun
Some luggage labels are used to choose a country predicted by the performer. You can make the props yourself and perform this minutes after watching.

Doodlebug
A drawing duplication using a mentalists standard tool and audience management.

High Five
Makes use of a very interesting principle to read a previously chosen card now thought by a spactator. This has other aplications and you will probably use it.

Diabolical Prophesy
This is a prediction effect which involves the spectator counting cards.

Devil's Triangle
This is a prediction type effect using a deck you probably already have.

Although the cover of the DVD describes a further effect called Double Decker, it is not in the recording.

Perhaps Double Decker is an easter egg and you have to search for it.

Couldn´t find it on the DVD player but did on the PC.

Double Decker is very similar to Mock using two spectators.

There is an extra bonus item called Jinx which is surprisingly Performance Only. Don´t know why because it is of a similar nature to the others. Maybe he is holding it back for another release. Nevertheless I enjoyed it also.

'Jinx' is a separately marketed effect.
