I'd like to reiterate that I hate all of you for this!

How hard is this really? I have a stage show in a month and there are one or two effects that are weaker than finding a ring out out of 300 sitting on stage!!! Is this the sort of thing that I'd be able to get down reliably and perform in that time or not? I estimate there will be 200 hours minimum of rehearsal so bare that in mind!

You have loads of time then mate! :D

You wont find much better anywhere and it's nothing - a rigmarole with a few bits of paper and lots of spiel. That is Mentalism

Can I please have a second opinion convincing me that this is a bad idea or is it actually a good one?

A second opinion?

Well my opinion was that it was great.
My second opinion is that you should definitely get it

I have this and it's wonderful.

how do you know its a different method eh?

It might be, but if it is the same method then there's some very heavy editing/reshooting going on there

I received Ring of Chance today and having watched Derren Brown's performance again (TOTM, series 2, episode 2), I would be inclined to agree with Ecko's comments regarding DB's method being different to ROC.

ROC is excellent. I must confess that I had a smile on my face as I was reading about the method. Some practice will be required but it is nothing too difficult. I agree totally with Dirty Davey's review. ROC is nice; very, very nice, and I can't wait to try it out. Image

(I'm off to get me some more ring boxes from the jeweller shop!)
