The first Jay Sankey dvd I saw, he worked on my nerves with his ADD behavior. But after seeing more and more releases from him, I started to like him more and more.

Sankey is one of my favorite magicians now because his tricks are good, he spends a lot of time explaining the justification of moves and his magic insight is just beyond belief.

With regard to the ADD thing Jay has always performed a bit like a demented flea. I have often thought he should put together a flea circus and feature himself as one of the fleas.

On the other hand I once met a layman who had seen him work in a restaurant. This layman raved over how good Jay was. So I suppose some
people like to see demented fleas work. This fellow certainly appreciated him.

I know he has skills far beyond any I will ever have but I just can’t watch him, He drives me mad with is unfunny style of American humour which is completely lost on me.

Jay isn't American. He comes from a different country entirely.

I think Jay is very Kooky and I love his style.

He as complete control of his art and his personality.

We could all learn something from watching this guy.

Not silly tricks, anyone can learn them with a little work. I am talking about showmanship and performance.
Its what makes a professional a professional guys.
Please remember that.

Tricks are two a dime

Jay is amazing. I love his magic, however, his tricks are rather easy to figure out, and his tricks are slightly the same, anyone agree?

I really like him. I've had a few of his tricks such as Holy Moly, Twisted and Killer Key. More recently I ve had soem of his DVDs and I find them easy to watch. I can see how his humour may annoy some but for me it helps and keeps it intersting.

The only slight complaint I could make I suppose is that some of his effects are on more than one DVD/video and I dont see the need for the duplication.

But overall he is great!!

For me Jay was an acquired taste. Like good scotch you have to get passed the wanting to regurgitate to get the buzz. After a while it's smooth as silk.

I think Jay is more funny to himself than most who see him although it's kind of like slapstick you either like it or you don't. I'm more interested in his incredible knack to take the simplest of moves and get as much as you can out of them. Take his Paperclipped, so much with so little.

I even have his Gemini pouch and 2 Assassin's Pouches one for magic the other for mentalism.

Not everything he puts out is a gem but in most casses you get more than your monies worth.
Just cause they say it, don't make it true.

Won't respond to baiting trolls!

I really liked Jay Sankey, until about 2 years ago.
I think that he released amazing DVDs, his early stuff is simply amazing...
Then he started releasing DVDs after DVDs with 47 tricks on one DVD... Bargain! except that these 47 tricks involve the twirl move or a DL.

I started being very disappointed about that every 2 weeks there was another new DVD with 47 routines...
*yawn*.
Then I saw him lecturing. Amazing, very funny etc etc.
2 years ago, my friend and I were on the same train back from blackpool with Jay and Richard Sanders who were very nice etc, and in London, Jay asked me if he could try my thick framed glasses, and if I could take a pic of him with it, as he was considering getting some of those.
A few days later I emailed the pic to him, with a nice message, never got a response.
I was a bit disappointed in the fakeness...
And I was more disappointed when I saw his next DVD, where he was wearing the same thick framed glasses as me!
:?

This year I saw him in Blackpool. He had nothing new, his lecture was uninspired. I thought. Less funny than usual. So a disappointement.

On the overall, I will keep a distant eye on what he will release, because amongst the 47 routines on his next DVD, there might be one Jem...

I love Jay Sankey, he is probably one of my favourite magicians ever. I love his tricks, 'Pulp Fiction Card Trick' and 'Astral Projection'. I'v heard he goes the the Blackpool Magic Convention. I really want to go there, especially for Jay Sankey.
