Koran Deck

Postby Dave S » Aug 19th, '06, 15:08

Name:

Koran Deck

Available from:

http://www.magic-mirror.co.uk

Price:

£8.00

Maker:

Al Koran

Effect

You fan out a deck of cards and casually show them. A spectator then takes them, and you turn away (or even leave the room). The spectator then shuffles the deck anyway he likes, and cuts them, and notes the card he looked it. He shuffles it back into the deck, and puts the cards back in the box and out of your sight before you even turn around.

Immediately, you begin to receive impressions of the card, and eventually, you name it!

Comments

This deck will enable you to perform that effect above. It is exceptionally fair looking and there are no peeks etc, very fair. Compared to the Mindpower Deck, this is much better in my opinion. You can spread through the cards allowing the spectator to see all the faces and they will not spot anything. The deck can also be freely handled by the spectator and nothing will come a miss.

They can also shuffle the deck and cut it numerous times. A bit of memory work is required but nothing too demanding.

The instructional pages are well written and Liam Montier gives you many ideas to make the effect better and more astonishing. The extra routine at the end is also very good and is a great opener in my opinion.

This deck will also work well with John Bannon's routine, "Outer Limits, Beyong the Pale" from Smoke and Mirrors, especially if you have a wallet like the Heirloom wallet.

Overall:

Another great release from Magic Mirror at only £8.00 . At this price you really can't go wrong. There is a little memory work required but nothing too taxing.

The advantages of a deck like this is that you know the card very quickly, and this means there are plenty of scopes to reveal the card they are thinking of.

This can be done with the MPD too! If you spread it one way, they are less likely to spot anything than with KORAN.

The deck can also be freely handled by the spectator and nothing will come a miss.

This is a huge plus.

How does this compare with 'dream deck' (I've just seen the publicity blurb on this) - anyone got both?
