Hi everyone

Hi everyone,

Well, I thought I'd say hello and introduce myself as i have been meaning to for quite a while!

My name's David, I'm British but lived in the U.S. for several years, spent time with Nick Lewin, Jeff McBride, Luke Jermay and several other UK names out there - I was a professional card magician in the UK (my godfather was a member of the Inner Magic Circle and I spent many, many hours at his knee learning sleights - I couldn't figure out how, at age 15, I knew how to false shuffle, until I was reminded that I was taught how to Zarrow at the age of 11!). So I was exposed to a rich range of methods and the art of presentation, and especially mentalism.

Although life took me in another direction professionally, I have never lost the fundamental passion for the craft, and even today, though I don't perform for anyone other than friends and associates, the discipline and commitment remains with me, and I truly want to continue and benefit from others passion too. I don't think you ever stop learning, or learning how to improve, and that's what's wonderful about it.

I've been asked to table hop at a rather large and important wedding in the summer, so I'm now actively back in the game, as it were... and here we are. Bang up to date.

Hope that tells you all you need to know!

Welcome to TM David.
The plot is the thing, the means of doing the trick is an entirely secondary affair.
If it is found that the use of a fake or a gimmick renders the plot more convincing to the spectators there should be no hesitation in using it. J.N. Hilliard
