The Effect
Imagine you pick up a nut and bolt (both may be borrowed), thread the nut on the bolt, and upon your command the nut slowly starts threading itself off of the bolt as if caused by some ghostly action. You can reverse directions upon your command and the nut can wind back up on the bolt. You immediately give the nut and bolt (no switching) to the spectator to keep as a souvenir. Now get this... no thread, no magnets, no reels, no rubberbands, nothing attached to the nut or bolt, nothing hidden in your hand, no switching, no kidding

I have just received this, so not had much time to play around with it. You get 2 nuts and bolts, the gimmick itself and a DVD once you have it set up on you, you are ready to perform this at any time, as There is no reset or anything like that, it makes it a perfect walk-around effect. There are no dodgy angles to worry about, and there is nothing hidden in your hand.

Overall
As I have only just got this and have not tried it out in the real world, I am not going to give this a score. Is it worth the money?..... I think it could of been a bit cheaper, but it is well made.

I love this it looks like real magic, and the method is fantastic.

David Penn did this at at a club I was Lecturing at the other night, It was so good I was afraid it was going over over shadow my lecture

Very expensive but at the right place at the right time coud be well worth it.

It amuses me that this can be done with a borrowed nut and bolt.

I'm sure I'll get to see it this weekend.

Im reasonably sure that the price tag will cloud my judgement though. for 200 quid, i could hire someone to come in with a spanner and loosen my nuts.

I'm not sure about all this stuff sliding around on his knee. How would you present that? Hey, come and watch stuff slide around on my knee!.

And the fact that the trailer boldly declares NO THREADS! NO MAGNETS! betrays the fact that most people watching are going to think it's done with threads and magnets. It doesn't matter that it's not done with threads or magnets - the wrong explanation is often fine for most spectators. Especially if they feel they've worked it out for themselves.

Still, I'm open to being impressed if anyone has it on show this weekend.

After using for the past 2 nights, I can safely say that it is staying in my routine. The reactions are great, and I will recommend this to any working magician. 9/10 from me. it looses 1pt as it does make some noise, but in a working environment, you don't really hear it.

I ve just bought a very similar product off e bay brand new for about £40. Although it is nt exactly the same I ve seen a picure of what comes in the box with ultracinese and the "PK Nut off bolt" is very similar..its certainly the same principle how it works. It has only arrived this morning so I have not yet played with it but will get back when I have. But its a saving of £160 so a good start.

Very Very nice effect,but £200 is a bit steep.Maybe i will see one for sale soon on here or MW a fair bit cheaper.
Ingenious method though,a slight noise but doubt very much it will be heard in the real world.

I have now made my own version of this and it cost me a whole £10!!!

I would never sell it

The fact that it makes "some noise" confirms the method to me. As Tony says, the parts must be about a tenner. I wonder what the developer gets out of that £200... Not much per unit, I bet.
