Hey Dave, that's great news! I am SO pleased you made your debut. Getting asked back is a compliment.. But I hope you're not going to stop there  Hope now you've had a taste of public performing, you quickly seize your next opportunity....

Sorry for the delay in my reply.. Only just logged onto this site (first time in a few weeks!)

Congratulations again... I'm really proud of you for having the courage and self belief to get out there and do it.

Well done mate...

Best Wishes
Karl

Film project on ventriloquists...

Postby Puppet 'ed » Mar 19th, '06, 16:51

Hello,

My names Ed and I'm looking a make a short but humorous documentary about the life and times of a ventriloquist's puppet. I'm currently a student studying Photography and Film making in London and would like to commence work on the the project asap. I am based in North East London but can travel pretty easily. Please get back to me if you would like to get you and your puppet involved or for any useful links or advice, I'm keen to learn more about the world of ventriloquism! Take care,

Ed Kevill-Davies

Hi, I belong to a TV forum called TV Heaven where we dicuss past, current and future TV shows. We also reminis about past performers. A couple of days ago one of the group was asking if anyone could remember the name of a ventriloquist with a one eared monkey who name was Maxwell. The monkey had a catch phrase,"I've h'only got one h'ear hole". I have searched the web at great length but been unable to find the name of this performer. A few of us recall the act as it was very funny. I figured the only way to resolve this was to ask the experts. I am sorry for the intrusion and hope one group of forum enthusiasts will be kind enough to help out another. Its driving us nuts.

I thank you all in anticipation...Bob.

ventriloquists needed

Postby samwerkmeister » Mar 15th, '10, 18:33

hi i am a freelance documentary film maker from bristol. i am looking a range of people who are starting, in the middle of there career or even people who have retired from ventriloquism. i am looking to film 3 or more people in there daily lives and see how the nations attitude has changed and see if there are people who are bringing ventriloquism back into the public eye. this film idea will be pitched to the bbc for a primetime documentary slot. please do not be scared to get back to me, i am not looking to portray ventriloquists in the wrong light i feel that true entertainment is still going and i think people should realise that there are people who devote there whole lives to something they love. thankyou for reading this and i hope to hear from anyone as soon as possible. thanks sam
