ESP Cards
Also included is an appendix of useful sleights and subtleties.
Comments: This is a great book and its easy to learn from. Nick Trost has replaced sleights for simple to use subtlties and principles. The reason I have marked it 1-3 for difficulty is because for most of the effects there is a false shuffle or cut or count etc. There is an appendix at the back of the book detailing 41 moves and simple sleights. Some of which most card magicians would have heard of and some they wouldn't. It covers well known sleights such as the Elmsley and Jordan counts as well as the Olram subtlety but how many of you have heard of The Diminishing count or The Aronson Mark a Place Move. Most know how to do the Flushstration count but how many of you have heard of the Rumba Count which achieves the same goal of showing four cards all the same. Then there is the Ose Cut or the Curry Swindle Switch and the GW Hunter Shuffle. Each one of these counts, subtleties and cuts is fairly easy to do (They must be as I can do them) There is nothing in this book that I have seen that I cannot do. So what about the effects. Very, very good, for example, Jacks are wild with an elevator finish is brilliant. EFFECT as the spectator sees it. The performer shows a poker hand of Five Jokers that he has been dealt. The Jokers instantly change to five Jacks. The Jacks then travel one by one in elevator fashion up and down the deck. The spectator at one stage even gets to decide if the jack is to travel to the bottom or to the top and its easy peasy to do as are most of the effects in this book. There is something for everybody in theis book whether you are a proffesional, amateur, hobbyist or beginner. If you love card magic you will love this book. If you love cards BUY IT, BUY IT, BUY IT.
Rating (out of 10) A whopping ten.
