Thank you both for your kind words.
Since the 'wedding season', I've been trying this out on the brides and grooms and it went down really well. I used the 'connection that two people share' route, whereby the bride, or groom, uses the ability all of us have (bla bla), and gives off 4 cards with strings attached to other, and correctly keeps the ring for themselves....something along those lines anyway.
Its really starting to open up the more I use it!

Thanks again folks 8)

Yes, I keep saying "I won't buy anything else this month", then read a review like this one and: Paypal calling!

This is a lovely effect and is very good value. Christo's example presentations help to get a feel for how you can use it. The first one, with a mysical theme, I'm going to use next month when I am at a 21st birthday bash (sadly, not my own).

I just need to find the right string or ribbon. I'm off to the local market next week to rummage round the sewing stall for ribbon, which will be amusing to my wife. "I'm just off to market to buy some nice coloured ribbons love. See you later". The local garden centre has the right sort of string for this effect if I remember correctly.

I remember when I first met my partner...it was when I was first getting really serious about mentalism, and the odd requests were flying around like nobody's business!
"I need some salt shakers...no no no, there not the right ones, they can't be metal"
"That's paper, but its wrong, all wrong"
"I need to go to a pen specialist...why?...because I need special pens"

Bless her though. She's become accustomed to me now, and all future oddities are overlooked (ignored).

I haven't been shopping for salt shakers yet , but I will be blaming you for the stick I get when I visit the knitting shop for coloured wool next week! :P

I found this thread looking for a review of the Safwan Papers. I'm really sorry I read this and couldn't resist to all the subliminal messages. I HAD to buy this. Didn't have a chance to read it yet, but I'm sure it will be something I'll use.
Now I'm off again, searching for an honest review of the Safwan Papers.
<edit>
I had the time to read and try it now. The one move you need to use, is indeed really easy to do. I will be performing this tomorrow. I like it a lot. And I think it should be possible to come up with a solution to do the same thing with a key (needs a bit of misdirection, I guess), which opens  even more possibilities.
This is a very useful piece of mentalism.

Just an update to all...

Colour-Ring is now avaliable as a direct download from my website www.thaumaturgy.co.uk

I have also approached two other authors and asked if I may host their work, as I feel these are top notch and worth so much to our art....Switchcraft and Free Will Of Order.

Enjoy! :D

The different coloured ribbons can be used for reading Auras for those who are into paranormal effects.
