I think it might be a good idea to have a new review section for magic shops, as I've seen so many recommendations and questions in miscellaneous, surely a proper review section is warranted?

I agree wholeheartedly. I know of one good shop in Vienna, and a few on the Internet, but I'd love to know some others.

Good to see someone agrees with me, and that I wasn't just going mad again...

Judging by the response, could be just that we're both mad

Shops do get reviewed from time to time, but a whole section just for that? Would there be enough reviews to make it worthwhile, and when does a review stop being a review and start being an advert?
Another thing is that it could open up a huge can of wroms with negative reviews - one very vocal person has a bad experience with a shop, and he starts writing about it could cause all sorts of issues with libel/slander etc.
Personally I would like to keep it as it is - with reviews being made when needed in Misc. but would be interested to hear what others say.
There are always pros and cons to these things, the more different sections we have the more cluttered the forum feels - personally if we had another secxtion, I would probably have one specific to children's magic.

well maybe shop reviews could be put in an existing review section?

If you've had good service from a shop, tell us.
If you've had bad service from a shop, tell them.
