Alright how about this for now while we wait for the mods to be dragged kicking and screaming into this decade.

When you see one of those posts deserving of being locked report it to a mod, and then posts on the offending thread 'Reported'. So everyone will know whether they should report it or ignore it, and the mods won't get a million threads from eager modetts. (I know there are less than a million members but I tend to P.M mods multiple times.)
Invoke not reason. In the end it is too small a deity.

Your username was changed but you kept the postings total.

Talking about mods, some of the registered mods haven't been visible for ages. I think siege and the mog have vanished, while nickj disappeared for a long time but surfaced recently. Bananafish and Tom Lauten are somewhat modest mods so poor Mandrake seems to get all the heat and pressure :)

I never disappeared, I simply don't perform anywhere near as much as I'd like due to other commitments so I don't feel qualified to post to many threads. Rest assured that I visit the forum on a daily basis and, as the longest serving member here, will continue to do so for as long as TM exists regardless of whether or not I get back on the horse (incidentally, I think I've found the cure for CUPS!).
