This seems interesting :)

Wondering how reset-able and repeatable it is...?

Reset will set you back about 2 seconds, without the need to duck off into a darkened room, and just like any effect you wouldn't want to do it twice to the same audience but you can just keep on doing it at table after table very easily. All you are carrying is the one envelope, and the one diary.

Anybody wanting to see a quick demo by Richard, simply go here.

I won't give a traditional review because yes I know Richard and people might simply accuse me of being biased. I will simply point out some facts. Marc Oberon, creator of Bang On has given this a glowing quote, and when you consider that this is in essence a more personalised version of Bang On to your audience, to me that speaks volumes.

To clarify, reset is instant and right in front of the audience if you want. You really do just have to put the postcard back in the envelope and you're good to go again.

Thanks for your informative replies:

I got a reply from Richard himself (after messaging him on facebook):

"...No reset other than putting the props away.

You can do Travelogue for another group but not immediately for the same lot..."

so all looks really splendid :)

Fab!

Looks very close to a Bob Cassidy routine 'ultimate mind trip'.... any views on this?

Bob Cassidy's 'ultimate mind trip' is a bonus routine on his 'chronologue' dvd. Perhaps someone who has this could comment on any similarities?

Perhaps I can help.

The title is clearly a nod to Chronologue, a couple of years ago a friend and I made the step to change cards for places using the Chronologue principals. This works brilliantly and my friend still uses it in her stage show with great success.

I now know Bob Casidy first proposed this in a DVD extra released to members of the PEA as Ultimate Mind Trip. This works brilliantly and my friend still uses it in her stage show with great success.

Travelogue does not work the same way as Chronologue. Indeed you could not apply the Travelogue principal to playing cards.

Whilst the plots are very similar the methods are not.

I don't think you did!

Thanks for your entry Richard (and welcome to the forum!); I'm a fan of chronologue (adapted a bit) and I was really wondering about degree of repeatability to different groups with (reasonable number of) different answers.

I'll have a good ponder .....

Thank you.

Travelogue has 24 different outs!

Moving to the next group and performing immediately is fine. You wouldn't want to repeat it for the same group. For the same reasons as with Chronologue - A Prediction effect can only be seen once without proving that you can change the prediction to suit!

with best wishes
