coming soon. the Travelling Deck .. Magic Tao.

Costas at Magic Tao, had this little beauty on his dealers stand at the magic circle dealer stand 2 weeks ago, and iv'e been having loads of fun playing with it, trying to work out what uses it has.

The gimmick, will allow you to vanish a whole deck between your hands, right under the spectators noses.

no pulls, toppits or difficult slights used. you are seen to be holding a deck, then its gone. Save one card, which may be the spectators chosen card, or something totaly different.

Its THE perfect opening effect for table hoppers. imagine aproaching the table with a deck as you say..

" good evening ladies and gentlemen, i am your magician for the evening, and my name is...."

you then vanish the deck, and you are left holding a buseness card with your name writ large on its face.

or changing the deck into other things, or shoving a deck thru a table, excepy their chosen card.

This gimmick, like my prieviously reviewed item loki, has potentialy quite a few uses. the cards come in either red, or blue bike, but its not difficult to adapt the back if you so wish.

A dvd is currently in production with routines and ideas for the gaff, and i believe it will be selling for £16.00 from Magic Tao.

to answer the question i am sure some will have.. no. this is something that cant be done with a slight.

available soon.

First... the price. £15?!

Any obvious restrictions in terms of clothing perhaps? Always a factor for the walkaround performer

totaly self contained. you can do it naked.

this video shows an effect using the gimmick, but tons of other things may be possible. :)

OK, this isn't my style at all but I'm slightly in love with it and for £15 it'll definitely be worth a punt.

I get the general concept from the video, I'll PM you about it further Dale.

I bought something reminscent of this at Blackpool this year. It comprised a "card box" and a jumbo card and was sold as a device for turning a card box in to a mobile phone.

I can't remember the name or source. It played quite well in table hopping - until I left it at a table by mistake.

When I went back the cutomer and my device had gone!

Johnny Whizz - you're referring to a trick by Joker magic - I believe it is called Cell Out. A friend of mine told me a funny story about performing it in the kitchen of a restaurant and placing the jumbo card on a metal work surface at the end of the routine. This, as you will realise, is a bad idea :-)

Costas showed me his gimmick down in Portsmouth the other weekend, and I hope to review it once they are properly in production...

That's the one, and no do not place on metallic surfaces, could be a bit of a giveaway!
