I've now seen that routine twice and can't see it.
Well performed and the look on Penn and Teller's faces said all.

I think you'll go down very well in Vegas.

Great stuff!

But my enjoyment of the moment was a little dampened by the fact that Alakazam sent out a recent newsletter telling us all that the new John Archer DVD featured 'The Trick That Fooled Penn & Teller'.

So no surprise for me there, then(!)

That's not to take away from the fact that the trick's a killer, the method is devious beyond words, and John's performance was t'riffic.

I just wish his winning moment hadn't had its thunder snaffled by a sales email.

My favourite moment in the show was when he said, 'I can honestly say I don't slip anything into the envelopes.'

Que camera cut to Teller, jaw open. Brilliant.

Well done, John. Good Luck in Vegas.

Did I hear Johnathon Ross say Mr Archer was from Stockton?

I think a word of congratulations need to go out to all the magicians took part on this show. They all did a lot for magic and it all looked amazing.

All the best to the magicians going to Vegas.

I quite agree about the camera shot where John said they got it wrong and their reaction. That was possibly the highlight of the show for me.
In face, the production was brilliant. No unfortunate angles, nothing. Most definitely a show meant to feature the magic respectfully, I feel.

I can't figure out John's method. I just know that both times I've see him do it (once on Fool Us and once when he opened for Tim Vine in Manchester) it was in a different envelope... so it's not an obvious method.

Love it, really. Shame about the sales pitch blowing it though. :P

John's a member of TM, his username is Archini so a few congratulatory PMs might be worth sending!

Well done John!
