I didn't buy this, not becaue it wasn't good but because the gimmick clearly wouldn't fit my phone. I'm not sure how a purchaser could check other than looking at the photos on the various websites carefully but you'd need to be sure you have the right kind of phone where the batteries are easily viewed. Of course, It could be that my phone is just old and out of date  . Perhaps a phone call to the chosen supplier before ordering would sort this out?

There's a very good FAQ on Cell at Merchant of Magic. Demo video here. Looks good.

Regarding phone compatibility, and from what I can gather having read the FAQ and viewed the video, it looks to me as if you must have a battery compartment with dimensions at least as big as a Bicycle card which has been folded in half twice, i.e. about 32x45mm (by 1mm thick). I could be wrong, but that's how it looks to me.

Hi

Yep. If you are going to appear to have the spectators card folded up inside the battery compartment of your phone. Its pretty important to make sure that the phone you use, has a compartment that is big enough to be able to contain a folded up card. If not, you may look a bit silly :)

Cell's a real fooler! I've used it a couple of times at bookings this month and it's going down very well!

Highly recommended

Best wishes and good luck with your magic

I dont buy many gimmicks but this is well worth the money reactions are awsome i give this 10/10

I have a very thin mobile and it uses a slide back and it works perfect in my phone. My battery is much smaller then the gimmick but as long as it covers the whole battery this should work fine.

awsome effect reactions are huge.

this also wont work with the i-phone as you cant take the back cover off. however, at a recent convention a friend of mine came up with a way to do it. drop me a PM if you want to know more.

I was gigging in a pub near Stevenage and one of the bouncers got talking about magic. They said "I saw this bloke called Lee and my card ended up in his phone!" He has raving about it even though it had happened months before. That's a real "reputation maker". Shame I've got an iPhone.

A friend of mine told me that he performs CELL with this mobile phone:

LG GB102 (price is just 15€ / about 22 dollar)

It's very cheap and yet very sturdy.
