Coin Through Glass Idea

Postby Lloyd Barnes » Jun 30th, '11, 10:51

Hey guys,

Been working on a coin through glass idea, it's a bit of an obsession of mine. Would love to hear some of your thoughts and get some feed back off of you on my latest findings. By the way, this doesn't use any gimmicks and it's impromptu.

I really like coin thru glass/table/bottle etc. because there can be no false doors, etc. However, with yours, I suspect that angles are critical and that showing it might be restricted to two or three people sitting directly in front of you.

Nevertheless, nice idea. Thaniks for sharing it.

Nice idea.

I personally think it is not very practical, as you are creating this little window with the bottom of the glass for them to focus on, this limits the scope of the effect to people directly in front of you. Sadly your method dictates that this is the necessary place for the coin to penetrate from.

Angles are actually pretty great for this. Something which I was surprised at, I thought they were going to be awful, but you can have people pretty much have people standing all around you apart from behind. Try it out in real life on in the mirror, you'll be surprised.
