Actually, Derren self published his own ring bound editions, before the publisher made them. That is the first 'first' edition. That, or a fairly well made fake.

The ring bound one contains Reminisence and Lift, which were removed from later editions.

As far as Im aware, the first few of the first edition was indeed spiral bound, and also contained a couple of effects that were ommited from other copies. If its genuine, it'll be worth a fair bit.
    A rather odd first post though :)
theconjuror, why not pop over to introductions and tell us a bit about yourself :)

Indeed, the original first edition was spiral bound, included reminisance and lift, and goes for around £400-600 at ebay prices :)

Clearly I was not aware of this; thanks for the clarification.
So what we're saying is, I could photocopy the book, ring bind it, and claim it's a first edition? :lol:
for £500 morals be damned, I'll see you on eBay! :lol:

@lee_mel
Would you mind clarifying for me if it's a full on suggestion effect?

Neither of the extra 2 routines originally taught in Pure Effect use suggestion as a serious method.
