That's a great story.

I intend to use Wow! on its own as part of Ambitious Card or whatever from time to time, so personally it's not that I'm afraid to use it. I just really like the idea of building up a story around this prop, actually telling them that it's a magic toy (received for my 8th birthday), getting them to "have a go" themselves...

I tried it with a friend and it went down really well.

Haven't tried it without any kind of story yet, but I will at some point.

That's a great idea. I like to detract attention away from the prop itself and disregard as unimportant and just something I put the card into to negate any notions of sleight of hand.

I usually do that with props of course. For some reason, with this, I wanted to do the opposite. It's the devil in me...

Have them take it apart and put it together again, do the switch while they pick a card, perform the effect with their signed card, switch back during the off-beat, then get them to "have a go" with "the two cards that came with it".

I keep "the unit" in a cheesy-looking faux leather wallet lined with red nylon; the wallet also holds two playing cards, one red backed and one blue backed.

"You're supposed to do it with these two cards that came with it. Have a go with these. Insert one into the unit... That's it... Now wave the unit over the other card... Has it changed? Hmm... It doesn't seem to be working..."

Spec plays with it for a bit, then looks up at me and sees from my mischievous grin that I'm just winding them up, and that it really is just two pieces of perspex stuck together.

(I wouldn't wind them up if I didn't think they'd enjoy it, of course... Some people don't appreciate that sort of thing!)

Ha ha! And that makes it even more inexplicable! Following the Wow! effect with Twizted Grasshopper makes it even more so...

Cool. Same plot (teleport) but with just some cards and no other objects.

There's a five year old on youtube teaching you how to do it.

I didn't watch it. Personally, I'd rather not know, than only be able to perform it in my pyjamas with jam all over my fingers.

And of course it appears in their hands....

Have a look for Eric Jones performing it. In the demo he makes it move across with the cards on his knees but when I perform it I do it so the card appears in their hands. Following Wow you can do it again 'without any cover', you can use the same card too as it doesn't have to be forced for Twizted, so they can sign it and you can do two amazing things after another. And melt their brain.

There seem to be several youtube vids... Is it Twizted Grasshopper or just Twizted that you refer to?

Twizted Grasshopper, it uses the Twizted gimmick.

Oh boy. I've somehow managed to not hear of Twizted. I guess we shouldn't get too off topic, but I've added it to my 'list'.

one of the best tricks i have ever ordered and performed...so easy to do and clean ending...of course u cannot hand the gimmick to the spectator but its no need cuz u r giving him the playing cards...and he is stunned...!!!a must-have for anyone especially if u dont like card tricks and u need just one to fill ur program!!!
