This trick is very effective, simple, and easy to do but you need good acting skills to preform it well.

With the technology that we have now, you can get any information in the internet, which includes magic tricks from Ellusionist that would let you cough out some amount of dough. Thanks to those 9 year old kids who can't even perform double lifts (is it okay to say that here?) and talks like they have cotton balls in their mouth, they want to become "famous" for revealing these tricks.

The Stigmata effect is quite easy to figure out if you take your time thinking about how it is done. But I always recommend buying the DVDs because of the important tips that they can give you. I think what differs one magician to another is not the trick, but the performance. Honestly, I find the amount of information provided on the DVD very helpful for your performance. And since Stigmata is all about this, I think it's worth it.

(I don't onw the DVD though, I often exchange DVDs from a friend because of the scarcity of this stuff in our place)

I bought the DVD. I really don't care whether someone else revealed it to the masses who don't buy the DVD.

I don't think about 'oh gosh i paid 40 bucks and im pi**ed that someone else got it for free'. I have it and I've learnt the skills from it. i'd have gladly paid more.

afterall, this is the best impromptu trick I've learnt, that you can use in bars and clubs when you go out, that doesn't make you come across as a try hard with coins and cards. totally spontaneous - i mean a pen and a card ffs that's all you need.

you guys mean the psi series of banacheck?
i think in vol 3 stigmata is actually performed and explained, banacheck even mentioned wayne.

I guess why stigmata has such a high impact is because the revelation appears on bare skin and with that people subconsciously associate it wth pain...you know red coulor on skin...and the fact that it was apparently they who caused it.

it depends on the skin color too

Postby slaith » Feb 3rd, '08, 07:40

No racism intended, but since the marks are red in color they are not very obvious on dark skin types. Mine is slightly brown being an indian and I have to do it in bright sunlight to have the effect.

This part sucks if you want to use the thread as well later cuz using the thread in bright sunlight is stupid

I must say, I'm a bit disappointed. Not by the effect, which I think is ingenious in its simplicity and could have so many applications, but by the fact that it doesn't seem to work for me. I won't state here why, because I don't want to give away any detail. I'll have to think about ways of making it more... effective, so to say, because I'd really like to use it. If someone can advise me on the matter, please PM me.
