Got a copy of this over Xmas after seeing Woody win the close up competition at Ron's Day in London and have to say its absolutely incredible.
Some of the book is quite advanced an assumes a fair bit of knowledge, but there are some effects you can learn pretty quickly.
There are several poker demonstration type effects which are brilliant and very 'current' with the rise of online poker and poker tournaments on TV. I often get asked if I can 'cheat' at cards and now have some very elegant effects that I can use in response!
One that shine out for me is "Blessed Poker" - an effect where the spectator has TOTAL control over the cards yet you are still able to win every time. It uses a very interesting principle which Woody explains very well and spurred me on to dig out my old Arthur Buckley Card Control book to investigate it further.
For an experience card man this book is superb and very inspiring to investigate the principles Woody uses.
For the beginner, it may seem a little daunting but will catapult you forward massively in card magic, hugely expanding your range of knowledge as well as encouraging you to learn some of the harder moves & techniques as the effects that require them are so good.
Everyone will benefit from this book, Woody, I salute you sir.
