What's with the trailing target="_blank after every link?

It looks like some code dropout, as if the " prematurely ends a string.

It's a glitch of some kind and happens every time you preview or re-do a bit of a post - a new one appears for each time! If you delete the target-blanks as the same time as editing then it'll look fine. Shouldn't have to do it of course but at least it keeps the posts reasonably smooth. I confess I've very often edited people's posts when there are long strings of them. Something to add to the maintenance list

By default, phpBB opens links in the same tab/window, the powers that be here have decided (wisely imho) to have them open in a new tab/window. "target=blank" is an attribute added to a link in html to make it do so. What's happened with us is that a tiny syntax error has crept in when that change was made to the forum's coding and as a result it displays that additional html attribute.
It's harmless.
