First of all, I'd like to say I was "conned" into buying this by Ellusionist. I thought they would teach alot of ring manipulations, they played so much emphasis on the gryphon roll and the insane ladder, and barely talked about de'vos actual routine.

But when I watched the routine, I was not disappointed at all. It truly looks magical with enough practice.

That being said, anyone who owns this please PM me! Im having a little trouble and I could use some advice

hey guys
haven't been online in a while
but im still pursueing the dream of becoming a reasonable magician;)

my new obsession is the ring DVD by De'vo..
and the only place I can seem to buy it, is through Ellusionist..
and for me as a dutch person, this is very difficult, since I don't have paypall of whatever..

so my question is, does anyone know of a place on ebay where I can buy a unopened DVD of the ring by de'vo
or some other dutch or at least european magic shop from which I can order it online?

hope someone can help me out;)

hope everyone's doing ok!

Try MagicMagic which is on ebay.

John has a great shop and I got my copy from him although he may have to order one in for you.

I don't know how much he charges for shipping to the Netherlands though.

Having received this for my birthday at the weekend I'd like to clarify something....

There's been a lot of talk over what sort of ring works best, how you shouldn't buy one until you've seen the dvd, etc. I was left slightly confused by this as I couldn't quite see how a tighter ring would be so essential for the sort of move used. As it turns out, and Ian Kendall points out above, the move works just as well with any tightness of ring as long as it'll fit on your finger. However if you want to perform De'vo's routine as he does then the impact would be significantly reduced with a looser ring.

Haing said that if you're more interested in the dvd as a reference source for moves, which is what I wanted, then your good old band ring will be just fine. I've been playing with my ring (a silver Wizard G2) wherever I've been all weekend and despite not having actually shown anyone directly a couple of my mates noticed and commented on how cool the basic ring on move looked, so don't worry unduly if you're considering purchasing this but don't have the 'right' type of ring.

The artist who does not rise, descends.

I have a question for those who have this and use the moves regularly. Well two really.

1) it's manipulation but can be presented as magic, how well do you think these moves would fit in with ring flights or ring on string/wand effects?

2) how many times did you send a piece of finger jewellery flying across the room during practise?
