If you wanted to do that i would be happy to offer some free entertainment and i am sure others would as well.

Alcohol fuelled magicians generally provide entertainment anyway!

'twas at Middleton Hall (http://www.middleton-hall.org.uk" target="_blank) and the various pages shows the inside area where we noshed whilst being mesmerised, gobsmacked and otherwise royally entertained by an assembly of talented TM folks with rope, with hypnotism, with a Cluedo Board......

I believe it took quite a bit of work to organise but it would certainly be fun!

Rather than letting this die, who is willing to put the effort in? I know I am, but I'm wondering whether it would be more successful in the midlands as was before, rather than down south where I am?

I'm very biased of course but a central location would probably be equally convenient, or inconvenient, for most members.

It could be a great opportunity to arrange an event of some sort, certainly involving some performances, food, drinkie-poos - all that sort of stuff. I wonder if any of our members who can be at such an event would be prepared to do a sort of mini lecture? Half an hour or so at the most? We could probably then make up a day of happenings. There would be costs involved of course so a fee of some kind would apply but the more members who can attend, the wider some of those costs would be spread. As well as celebrating our birthday, in the interests of friendship and furthering our art, we would be happy to see members from other forums and/or magic clubs - perhaps a friendly competition between acts representing each forum/club could be held?

Much stuff to ponder upon.......

Shall we leave it in your hands? Or would you prefer. Not to take up the throne just yet? We could make a thread! ;)

If you'd all like to offer ideas and suggestions here I'll split this thread off into separate sections later on. Once we have a selection of ideas we can try to form a plan for such an event, where, who, what, what cost and so on. We'll need a lot of help and enthusiasm so please get your volunteering/creative/encouraging muscles working!
