Curiosity has touched down on Mars.

There said on the news this morning, that it will be another 2 years for results, on whether there was any previous life before? That would be spooky if there was!!

This baby is going to do some very cool things indeed.

The first image received will be a delegation of Martians holding a sign saying 'Go away' (or words to that effect)!

I got up all early to watch it and everything. Gripping stuff.

Interestingly, I later found an article on an old Zambian space agency which planned to land a man on the moon and mars before anyone else. They trained by rolling down hills in a barrel, one of the astronauts was a cat, and they promised not to force Christianity on to the people of Mars if they did not want it. Unsurprisingly, the government distanced themselves from the plans and nothing ever came of them!

Curiosity is so cool. Shame there was no way to get video of the "space crane" landing.

There is a photo of it parachuting towards the surface, though.
