You can show it but not for alot longer as the gimmicks dont fit flush all the way round and the magnet doesn't seem as strong as redemption so it can slide about if your not careful, its not something i'd leave face up on the table.

I do agree with you Jon but here is some food for thought

I did the colour changing deck for my sister yesterday and you know how tough family members are. When I finished I gave her the deck and just for the giggles gave her the box too to see how examinable it was.She held the box looked in it flipped it over and then handed it back as puzzled as she was at the start. She found nothing but I was confident she wouldnt cause people would tend to want to see inside rather than outside because logic dictates you don't hide or store things outside a box.

The gimmick I gave her broke on me before so I had to reconstruct the thing which makes it a little more shabby looking than it does when you first receive it but she still didn't pick up on the gimmick IN HER HANDS.

I'm with you though.I was only using her keen eye as a test to see how much scrutiny the gimmick could withstand.Normally I just flash the face and leave it face down as done in the promo videos.

I found this very interesting and has given me even more confidence with it.It is such a good gimmick and no one EVER asked me to see the box nor have they looked at it strangely or suspected anything about it.It's all about misdirection.Give your cards 100% attention after the box rub then toss the box aside or pocket it.If you're 100% focus is on the cards so will theirs.

I cannot recommend this enough. It's super practical, easy, visual, astonishing, versatile and the best part about it is that their is no pocket space at all. There is no excuse not to have it as long as you have your box.

Tool has been one of my favourite purchases this year and I use it at every gig

I have this and use both gimmick as I have two different decks for different effect.

It is invisible as far as the eyes can see. And I agree, they tend to check the inside. I use this with some gaff from Ultragaff Deck which is awesome.

I saw Stuarts demo of this, I think it's brilliant so will be ordering it this week! So many ideas already, Stuarts presentation was excellent too.

I am in two minds about this 'trick' 'gimmick'

i bought it from Davenports in London as it was demo'ed to me and watching my card, which was ripped up by me, completely restored in front of my very eyes took me back to how i used to feel about magic before i became a student!!

I was sold within seconds and couldn't part with my money quick enough

Problem being, i can't seem to utilise this 'Tool' in my routines effectively, obviously i use patter around creating a puzzle with their card by tearing it into a few pieces then restore it, but it does seem to be very hit and miss in reactions. I always use the same patter and i find that the spec who views everything as a puzzle to be solved is wowed, but it doesn't seem to have the desired effect with the younger generation, with females in particular!

I also do a torn and restored sugar packet with 'Tool' which again has the same reactions, so as i say I'm in two minds!!

Thanks

Aza

Sadly, like many tools in my house, I've locked it away in a drawer marked, 'may come in useful some day, not sure when.' I cannot think of a single routine where I would use this. But then again, my geography teacher told me I lacked imagination and spent too much time trying to impress girls. Maybe this is the reason I can't work out what to do with this effect?
