The Effect

"Two rubber bands are displayed, loosely held in the hands. They are gently tossed toward each other, and link instantly. It’s that clean."

Cost

12.00€ (Portugal price) which is around £9.
I've just made a conversion from euros to pounds because I don't know any magic shop in the UK that sells this trick. Sorry about that... :S

Difficulty
(1=easy to do, 2=No sleights, but not so easy, 3=Some sleights used,
4=Advanced sleights used, 5=Suitable for experienced magicians only)

This is an easy trick, so I'll give it a diffilculty of 1-2.

Review

The DVD has a realy good film production - awesome quality and the teaching is great.
The gimmick is easy to do and it will take you only 5-10 minutes doing it.
You've to be very careful hiding the gimmick but the DVD does an excelente job explaining you how to do it.
A good thing about this technique is that it can be done in the spectator's hand. It can't be given as a souvenir though, unless you switch the rubberbands.
The link and the unlink look like real magic and it is a move that can be done by a begginer - incredibly easy.
The rubberbands can be examined (unlinked) after you performance.

Overall

7/10

If you like this kind of effect I think you should buy this trick. Very visual, easy to do, fast.
In my opinion, the bad point of this method is that the gimmick can be spotted if the spectator is really focused.

Some points I've forgotten:

1- John Stessel explains different performances and uses for the gimmick.
2- After the performance (when you get rid of the gimmick) you can use the same rubberbands for a different effect.
3- Make sure you construct a nice gimmick, it will be essencial if you want a good looking effect.

And that's it... :D

I love the name! "Flush"...

They had to run out of funky one word names for magic effects sooner or later.
