Yes, but the booking site was having problems coping this morning. Then I noticed that Southend was still available and in some-ways it's better because I can take the car. I don't like using the Tube to get home when it's late

Heya,

I really regret that I live in germany and don't have a chance to come to the UK in the next months to see that wonderful show. I have to hope that one day, Derren decides to publish it on DVD.. But until then, could anyone PLEASE give me some info on what there is on that show? I can hardly wait any longer and all I read everywhere is just tiny tiny bits of vague info. If you would like to enlighten me, please PM me =)

Thanks!

When you go along to the show, Derren specifically ask that you don't give much away about the show. Since the show will not doubt be on TV in the next year or 2, I'm inclined to agree that it would spoil the experience.

My daughter has been to see it already and I still know very little about the show apart from the fact that she ended up with her arm stuck up in the air   Which is quite surprising because she is a very sceptical person

Can anyone who has already been tell me what they have for sale at the venues. Do they have the mugs and posters?

The mugs have only just come out as far as I know.

There are a limited amount of signed programmes available (normally £8 but +£5 signed) on his online store now. The mugs are also no there.

I saw the show in Belfast. The venue was a HUGE cavernous space, some atmosphere was lost.

The show in Belfast featured some different material than I saw i the London show last year.

Wasn't really too keen on the Portrait section, though the method of getting there was very clever thinking.

I preferred the Svengali routine from the London show too, though the PK touch routine is still in there. He struggled a little with the spectator repeatedly indicating the EXACT spot where he felt the touch, not quite what is required for this effect.

Sadly, there was a mishap in the final routine too, one of the number blocks was wrong, this meant that three predictions were then wrong for various reasons ( if you have seen the show you will know what I mean here)

Was brave doing the shoot yer girlfriend routine in Northern Ireland, not sure that I'd have been brave enough to do that in that part of the UK!!

The touring show in Ireland... Good but not a patch on the show as it was in London.

Are you sure it was a mishap? :)

Saw the show in Aylesbury last night. Excellent, as expected. Hypno stuff leaves me a little cold, generally. I thought that the humour and general audience connection in the first half was outstanding. He's much better than he used to be at the beginning of his shows - e.g. he's slowed down a bit, so I can understand what he's saying now!

I aw the show on Saturday night in London, as well as one right at the start of the first tour. I was interested to see the changes that were made - definitely improved the show no-end. The finale is a lot better, and the painting routine was one of the highlights - the audience reaction was spectacular!

On the whole, definitely better tha his 1st year tour, and the second half was a lot more streamlined as well.

Love

After Svengali was aired this Tuesday - by the weekend I had written up this article about the show, which the majority of you may find highly interesting.

Note from Mods: Link removed for two reasons, A) We ask that any articles be posted here in full, not just links to other sites, but also B) as you said "publication of what I believe to be some of Derren's secrets" is also against Forum policy. We don't speculate on methods used by others and we certainly don't reveal them.
