Hi everyone sorry I have not posted much after coming back and reintroducing myself but I had a little surprise...

My friend wanted another dog (she already had one) and I had a dog, same breed - different sex and also wanted another dog so we let them have a bit of 'fun'

And this is the result...



So my dog is now the proud father of 5 wonderful and healthy puppies

It has been hard work, vet checks, scans, labour, delivery and puppy sitting but it has been worth it.

So, I am having one, my friend is having two (by the sounds of it), another of our friends is having one and a colleague is having one. Luckily we made sure all would have homes before entering into this venture as we didn't want to 'sell' any.

I wonder if it is possible to pull puppies out of a hat rather than rabbits!

Looks like a great litter Alex - wait until they start moving around, puppies get everywhere!

sure you can pull a puppy from a hat and if i ever knew of a child getting a surprise puppy for a birthday present i'd definately want to have the gift presented in a magical production type way. i.e hat or production box. they are cute puppies congrats on your success with them

Thanks for all the replies they are very cute but they take A LOT of time! Between me and my friend and her partner we are juggling all our work committments so they have someone about. They are like babies - they wake up at 2am!!! But they are worth it. Even getting afterbirth on my jeans was worth it! And wow, that was grim!

One is a Houdini already! Keeps trying to get out the area we have made for them, it has low sides so mum can climb in and out to get to water / food etc but should be high enough that the pups cannot get out (seeing as they simply wiggle about and cant open their eyes or walk yet) but one little b*gger manages to get out!
