Headline Predictions

Postby Thames Iron » Dec 19th, '12, 17:22

All you genuine psychics out there - WHEN the world ends on Friday, what headlines would you expect to see in various publications? Let me start the ball rolling:

FINANCIAL TIMES - "Footsie plummets on end of the world rumour"

PLAYBOY - "Girls of the Apocalypse Special"

COSMOPOLITAN - "Lose 10lbs by judgement day on our new Armageddon diet"

ROLLING STONE - "Grateful Dead reunion tour"

SCIENTIFIC AMERICAN - "How will the extinction of all life on earth affect the way we view the cosmos?"

ENTREPRENNEUR MAGAZINE - "12 ways to profit from the Apocalypse"

SPORTS ILLUSTRATED - "Game Over!"

The Guardian: Cameron fails to stop massive geopolitical restructure despite early warnings.

The Daily Mail: We warned you those foreigners were trouble.

The Times: This wouldn't be happening if Borris was P.M.

The Sun: New Rooney sex scandal, the ass-pocalypse.

The News of the World special comeback edition: The nation speaks, phone hacking really wasn't that big a deal.

The Daily Star: f*** it, here's the pictures of Catherine's tits.

Invoke not reason. In the end it is too small a deity.

The Guardian:

Devil sues God for sexual discrimination after being excluded from heaven for all eternity, with no appeal process. Beelzebub is quoted as saying, "this is some of the worst human rights abuse that I have ever seen. God has shown a complete disregard for the welfare of satan. Where is the support network? If the devil was a woman this wouldn't have happened."

A spokes-angel for God said, "we have taken advice and we are prepared to defend this all the way to the highest court in Brussels, who currently run things around here at the moment."
