see effect here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3szL55NG-ww" target="_blank

i do have to be honest here and say that the effect itself is brilliant and almost selfworking but without saying to much you need big hands to be able to get away with basically the only sleight in the trick

the problem is that they advertise it to be almost a miracle that resets in seconds which is bull i purchased the trick and dont even use it as i cant possibly use it in a table hopping gig i have to show people the trick with little time to set up for this trick you would have to dissapear into a back room for a few minutes to reset it now thats a trick. ok going to the toilet and reset it after but fifteen odd times at a resturaunt during a gig anyone would think you doing lines

i do have to say that if the effect could be done with less reset time and fairly easier to perform the sleight it would be a miracle but im a tiny little sixteen yeaar old with little hands it can not be done but reseting the trick makes this virtually impossible to do without anyone noticing

the secret for all aspects of the trick i must say is genius to make the effects work like that in that order with such a slick performance is clever but only if you perform it one and then again abit later not one after the other after the other any other opinions please post

I bought this trick this week and I was surprised to find a gimmick as well as the special deck. I assumed it was just a special deck. That being said, this trick is great and as an amateur new to this hobby I have performed it twice now to friends and family with no problems.

One point to note is this trick has been out a while and originally I don't think it came with a DVD. Now it does which I am more than glad about as I think I would have struggled without it.

[Mod-Snipped a little to reduce potential exposure]

The gimmick was a surprise and I think it's worth commenting on in more detail. I have learned a few sleights and performed a few card tricks to friends and family. I bought this trick as it was advertised as self working and I was looking for some easy tricks to perform. The gimmick needs to be ditched about 30secs into the routine and the gimmick is big. I was not very confident I could do this as palming and ditching something like this is new to me. However, the DVD is great and after about 30mins setup and practice I performed it to a family member and they did not notice the gimmick.

In terms of performing this I would say if you are new to magic like me it's better to do it to one or two people standing in front of you. More skilled magicians can probably do it surrounded. The reset requires that you do the same special shuffle you do in the routine 3 times. You want to practice this so you can do it quickly on the routine. If you can do it fairly quickly the reset should take about 90 secs max.

I know there are other reviews of this trick in this forum but as this is a new post and I bought the trick rently I thought I would reply. If you want additional reviews and info search the forum.

Overall I would recommend this trick to anyone at any skill level.

There's a great vanish included with this trick. Because, if you accidentally drop the pack, the rest of your afternoon disappears.

My 2 Pence worth

I love this effect. It is so simple to do, yet it gets really nice reactions.

You can perform it effectively within 30 minutes of purchasing and once you develop your own patter you can really make it your own. Im not really a comedian when I perform so I have adapted the presentation so it still keeps its comedic value (as it’s a routine that has comedy built into it) but it’s not as obviously gag heavy as the presentation that comes with it.

As for the re-set, it doesn’t take long, I have reset in front of my audience while they react and it doesn’t look conspicuous. Only one time has someone asked “are you getting it ready again” I just said “something like that” and finished up and put it away and went into my next effect. I can understand it may take a while in a restaurant setting but hey, such is life. If it doesnt work for you, dont use it (dont know what more to say to that)

The gimmick is small, yet entirely necessary and completely hidden due to very natural handling.

While the various points in the routine get reactions more akin to a bad joke for the most of the routine, this works for the effect as by the time you come to your first ‘real’ bit of magic, it is entirely unexpected and so gets great reactions.

Then you drop their expectations with a right ‘clanger’ which some good acting can really make you look like a bit of a fool, which is where you want to be for the final reveal which then gets some incredible reactions when delivered properly.

I don’t particularly like carrying whole decks set up for one effect {with exception to I.D, Gobsmacked, “in a flash” and “I dream of aces”) but this may well be the only other one trick pony deck I will consider lugging around with me as I really like it

A solid 8/10 from me.
