Stand up comedy tuition

Postby Mandrake » Jun 2nd, '13, 08:41

A bit late in the day but I received an email this morning advertising a course for budding stand up comedians. Probably only of interest to those in the Midlands but Solihull Arts Complex are hosting a course which starts tomorrow, June 3rd. Full details at http://www.solihullartscomplex.co.uk/Ar ... +of+Comedy. The fee seems reasonable enough so, if you have the cash, the time and inclination - plus live locally - this might be wroth checking out.

If you have confidence issues as a magician, or even just in general, courses like these are a great way of building yourself up.

£80 seemed very reasonable for a five week course with that live show opportunity at the end. Pity they didn't publicise it earlier as I could have mentioned it before now and possibly get it seen by more folks here.

I would highly recommend that course for anyone with performing ambitions. It is not about the comedy, it is about ease in front of an audience. No better way to learn.
