PSYBORG by Stephen Leathwaite

Hi Guys and girls,
I thought I would write a short review on an effect called PSYBORG by Stephen Leathwaite of flat cap productions.
I have had Psyborg for a month or so now , he released it at Blackpool 2014 and it was a massive success.
psyborg is an idea that will spawn a thousand uses for it.
Its a method that will allow you to know what the spectator is thinking.....I have had the following ideas, the spectator chooses a card while you are blindfolded they put their card in to an envelope and you never see what their card is, you remove the blindfold and are able to tell them what their card is.
the thinking behind using a deck of playing cards isn't down to me however the ideas I have had for using playing cards are plentiful.
you can use Psyborg in so many different ways, he states that it is only limited by your imagination,,,, well its true.
There are multiple ways you can glean the required information this is truly genius

Thanks for that, why not nip over to Introductions and tell us a bit more about yourself?

PSYBORG is a high tech effect that relies on the NFC option that is only available on some newer Android phones.
It is an effect where you are deploying the latest technology that your audience may not be aware of.

Given a couple of years everyone might have an NFC phone and some might be able to work out what you're doing though your phone is hidden during the performance.
However NFC is not something that apple are pushing on the iPhone so perhaps the technology won't catch on.

Great effect for anyone who likes to be at the forefront of technology.

This effect kills. Love the versatility- so often we hear "only limited by your imagination", but with the method offered here, it really is true as there are countless applications. I cant recommend this enough- its so clean. It is limited to Android phones only, but thats the only downside I see here.

I got this the other day, its a killer trick. Because it is customisable it has so many uses. I own a lot of pro mystic stuff, and i would say its up there with them in terms of reliability and quality.

Well done Stephen for releasing a great utility device to the magic community!

To be honest, when someone only posts once, and it's a short and glowing review for a product, and then never posts again, I do tend to think that it's just an advert!

So it's nice to hear something from a regular talk magic-er or two!

Which is a way of saying thanks to Mr Hyams, and to Mr Discombobulator! :)

The Modsters did have more than a few concerns about the OP at the time but as we couldn't be totally sure it was self promotion we gave it the benefit of the doubt. As Chris said, it's good to get independent comments and thoughts!
