one thing that i would like to see on in the reviews section of the forum is a definative split between reviews of individual tricks/gimmicks and such things as books, videos and dvd's. i think this would benefit those who are looking for a review on a particular item, and make it easier for them to make comparisons between various items

for example if someone was looking for a book which covered card sleights, they would look in the book section and in front of them would be a list which they know will mainly hold the details of what they are looking for

not saying that the existing system is bad, i just think that this would help to define the categories

Fair comment. I'll have a look into that.

It has come to light that perhaps the reviews and tips sections would be better suited in the 'Magicians Only' area of the site.

I find it difficult, as I've noticed others do too, to be 'candid' when answering posts.

Please consider? It would be great to talk liberally in these areas!

Yet another argument for moderators and admins to be appointed... to keep an eye on posts and perhaps move them and edit them???

After all, it's nice to share tips and secrets with fellow magi, but I believe the site as it stands is open to a degree of abuse from freeloaders.

Entry to the Magicians Only area should be via suggestion from existing members, I think. A kind of 'inner circle'. In fact, I'm going to start a new topic (well, I'm bored... waiting for a bloke to turn up for a meeting! Better than twiddling my thumbs!)
