Help!!!!...My Flipper Coin stuck Closed!

Postby morrowsean » Nov 16th, '14, 20:43

Hi, Can someone please help me? My Lassen Gravity Flipper is stuck closed and i cant open it. I dont own a bang ring either.
I was trying to slightly enlarge the shell using that trick with the piece of paper placed over the mouth of the shell and then the coin closed on top of the paper.
Anyway to cut a long story short, its gone pear shaped and i cant open the flipper now...Any ideas?

Many Thanks!!

Have you tried attaching a small magnet on top of the coin (if you have one ? ) That may help with the release..

Your best bet would be a bang ring, if it would still fit into one. Is there a magic club or magic shop in your area, or even another magician? You could always explain the situation and see if you can't get together with somebody who has a bang ring.

PS, as you may have learned, modifying a shell isn't as easy as it seems.

I almost suggested the cup method. But once I ruined a very expensive coin doing that. Glad you found success.
