Yes I went to the club a couple of months ago too - nice crowd.
Many people will look at just the raw materials used in an effect, and then attribute a value to the trick based on this. To me personally, I prefer to look at the value of the effect in terms of usage and not the gimmick or prop value. A trick sold for £10 is expensive if you never use it and conversely one for £50 May be a bargain if you're using it everyday.
This will apply both ways to Hidden Hand. I feel I can use it, and therefore aren't bothered by the price. Others, will see it as a drawer filler, and then it's just a waste of money!
