Though there is nothing new under the sun, thought i'd just share an idea I had to make the card to pocket plot more accessible for children.
The plot (from the magicians perspective) that I based this around is using three selected cards, each jumping into a pocket, then as a kicker the whole deck disappearing apart from the three selections.
The idea would be to print 25-30 cards with different animals.
The don't have to be real or normal farm animals, as long as they are recognisable.
Unicorns, sheep, cows, racoons, goldfish, lions, penguins, etc
The magician would say that he didn't always want to do magic, at one point he wanted to be a farmer. but he'd had some trouble
He'd get three animals selected and one by one they would run away.
Then when each are 'found' he'd say that the real problem is, if you keep paying attention to just three of the animals, the rest will disappear.
I was just looking for a way to get around the problem of getting three different cards remembered for some time, and also making the kids care about what I'm doing.
Any suggestions/variations would be more than welcome.
