Da Ortiz and water

The Effect
This is a take on the classic Oil and Water effect with a strong final reveal. The spectator takes several alternating red and black cards, follows the instructions of the performer (who does the same) and then find that his red and blacks cards have separated (but the performer's haven't).
After this it is also revealed that the full deck (which has only be touched by the spectator) has separated into red and black cards. Boom!

Just watch the promotional video (for example following the link below).

Cost
This is a quite cheap video download that can be obtained from several sources.
For example, you can find it on
https://www.vanishingincmagic.com/magic-downloads/card-magic-downloads/da-ortiz-and-water/
for just 5$. I paid it a bit more (6.25 pounds on Dude that's cool magic).

Difficulty
(1=easy to do, 2=No sleights, but not so easy, 3=Some sleights used,
4=Advanced sleights used, 5=Suitable for experienced magicians only)

I would say a 2. There is basically no sleight involved and you only need some basic spectator management, but a bad presentation can really ruin this otherwise strong effect.

Review
There is nothing much to add, if you have watched the video. This is a very good take on a classic. Nothing complicated to do, some interesting subtleties which are always good to have in the back on the mind for other tricks and a very strong finale. If you are willing to sacrifice the finale in order to keep the thing to a more classic oil and water, you also have a deck that has been examined and touched (almost) only by the spectator and it is already set for many OOTW possibilities. A very nice plus, in my book.

Overall
I would say and 8 or 9 out of 10. Not higher because I do not particularly like Oil and Water in general.
