Johnny Wong: Super Power 4

Postby Jordan C » Feb 5th, '15, 19:17

I've done a search but no reviews, I can currently get this for £45, but I'm reading mixed reviews about how it only makes a couple of sleights easy. Seems novices rate it, anyone with a bit of coin skill diss's it *confuzzled*

Any thoughts?

Did you get these coins in the end? I'm looking for a review as I'm thinking of getting them.

I'd never heard of these before. However, a search over on the green forum for you seems to indicate that whilst the gimmicks are well made, the DVD instruction provided wasn't very good; leaving you to often work out your own handling.

I watched the demo for the product. If I'm completely blunt, it left me cold. Like a lot of coin magic these days, there's loads of completely unnatural, flourishy, showboating movement; accompanying plots of (coin thru table aside) utter confusion.

I wouldn't be buying it for the DVD. I'm familiar with Johnny Wong's tutorials; not that great, but his gaffs usually are.

Regardless, I'm wondering whether the gaffs could be used with Silver Edge by Kim Andersen.

You've got me there mate. My knowledge of coin gaffs ends at an expanded shell and folders.

These days, I only peform Mentalism......so just sod about with a pencil, bits of paper and a pack of cards. It's a bloody sight cheaper.....and (dare I say it) goes over better with spectators.

If you want, I can ask over at the green place for ya.
