Feeling Liberated

Postby Lady of Mystery » Jan 22nd, '16, 09:34

I had a good clear out of my magic drawers yesterday (any smutty comments there will earn you a kick in the shins ) and am now feeling quite liberated.

Can you believe that I threw away three black sacks full of stuff?! It was mostly half finished ideas and failed experiments, most of the stuff I have absolutely no idea what the original thinking around it must have been.

And sponge balls? Do I really need 3 shoe boxes full of sponge balls of various shapes, sizes and colours or a Tesco carrier bag full of silks? As for the box containing 12 packs of unopened, pink bicycle cards... It was amazing the amount of stuff that I've manage to pick up over the years and totally forgotten about, ok most of it was junk but I did stumble across a couple of gems, a lovely little silver okito box was my best find and I don't even remember buying that.

So that's the TM challenge for the week, clear out your magic drawers. It feels great and you never know what you might come across. :)

Strangely enough I have a similar process scheduled soon! I've obtained a rather natty pine cupboard and the plan (by Mrs.M!) is to replace the current stack of plastic boxes with this cupboard and make the spare bedroom look a bit tidier. No doubt there will need to be a bit of a clear out as well..... :)

OMG!!!!!!!!! So brave of you Becky... I would never ever attempt to clear out my magic stuff... Anyway, it would require a small skip, as 85% of my loft is taken up by 18 years of collecting.. But have in fact donated and given lots of stuff to my magic club and others who have fallen on hard times.. :)

I've been putting this off forever. I keep thinking I'm going to need some of this junk. Someday. For something.

It works on the same basis as never throwing out a piece of wood as it be needed one day to stir paint.....

I started looking trough my stash and have found some really superb gems which I'd forgotten I had.

(Mandrake quickly looks round to make sure Mrs.M isn't reading this over his shoulder) It may be some time before I actually manage to move anything on to a new owner......
