Those telephone cameras are amazing, aren't they?

The series is being repeated on ITV2 starting tonight, sadly it's at midnight - far too late for most of us.....

Do you know if it's starting with the pilot, as that is the only one I missed?

Looking at this week's TV listings magazine I see a small paragraph under 'Forthcoming programmes' which confirms that UK Channel 5 will be showing the US series of Fool Us. Must make some room on the Sky+ Box!!!!

OK, according to geektown.co.uk:

    UK Channel: Channel 5

    Latest/Next UK Season: 1

Latest/Next UK Premiere Date: 06 March 2016 at 8:05pm (TBC)

    Country of Origin: UK-USA

    Additional Airing Notes:

A long time ago, there was a show called Penn & Teller: Fool Us which aired on ITV, hosted by Jonathan Ross where magicians perform tricks and Penn & Teller have to guess how it was done. ITV dropped it, but the format was sold to The CW in the US (with Ross still hosting), and that version has now been bought by Channel 5 to air back over here.
    Previous UK Premiere Dates

There was a previous version of the show on ITV as Penn & Teller: Fool Us, but this is the US imported version.
    Renewal/Cancelled?

    Next Season: 2

    Status: RENEWED

Set those recorders!!!

I enjoyed the US shows, when i heard channel 5 were showing them i thought there must of been a new season. It's a shame the UK was dropped

I'm thoroughly enjoying these shows, the acts are excellent quality and when P&T are (not) explaining how they think the tricks are done the expressions on Jonathan Ross' face are priceless. I also enjoy knowing what some of the jargon they use actually means so I'm being very smug over that as well. The shows seem to be being broadcast ion a slightly different order to the US airings but as each one is a stand alone show it doesn't make any difference. It was especially good to see the legendary Mark Wilson on the recent show

Good and bad news, the show has been picked up for a third season in the US but Jonathan isn't the host this time. From when-will.net ( http://when-will.net/tv-series/1732-wil ... -date.html :

The magic competition program Penn & Teller: Fool Us is scheduled to hit the small screen in the US on Monday, July 11, 2016. When new aspiring illusionists come back on the air to impress and puzzle the experienced magicians Penn and Teller, the show will also have a new host – Alyson Hannigan will replace Jonathan Ross.

I'd hope that Ch5 will again pick this up for UK viewers - perhaps we should bombard them with emails now to 'encourage' them to do just that!

I would definitely be up for helping with an email bombardment - I'm only a magic enthusiast definitely not a magician but I thought this show was wonderful!!! Have really enjoyed it. If you find out who to write to please post it and we could all join forces!!! Come on Ch5, do the right thing!!!

Fortunately YouTiube has lots of the current series acts available. Check out The Magic Compass ( http://www.magic-compass.com ) for more of P&T - and a lot more of Vinny Grosso!!!

Incidentally, it looks like C5 will be showing this series, in their FAQs I see:

Q: May 9th 2016 - When will Penn And Teller: Fool Us In Vegas return?
A: This show is taking a break and will return later in the year.

Well, still no sign of C5 or any other UK channel showing Fool Us so I suggest you check out YouTube https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=P ... rcWQ8_7rD7 where many of the acts appear and, almost as important, only few of the vids have had to be removed!

I was a big fan of the show in their studio until I saw how Shin Lim had used confederates (cheated, essentially). The videos showing how are easily found on google.

It's their house, their rules, obviously. But they stipulate that there are no shenanigans, no stooges/confederates, no cheating. So my question to P&T & CW went unanswered when I asked, "Did the producers knew, P&T, or both?

There aren't many rules in magic. Magicians tell you that they will be lying to you, I get it. But was this, and the other acts yet to be uncovered as such, over the line?

More importantly, what are we-even as spectators-willing to accept from a magic performance? Is this helping or hurting the cause?
