Please help me identify this effect.

Hello,

I'm hoping someone will be able to help. I've recently been thinking of getting back into magic again and started looking through my old stuff.

I came across this packet trcick - which I remember as being really good - but I can't remember the exact effect or what it's called to look it up.

Any ideas? I'm not looking for secrets, just the name of the effect or who it's by would be a start so I can find the right DVD or book. I was sure it was a Michael Close effect, but I can't find it anywhere.

Thanks,

Guy

Is this you being funny? If it is then it really is funny. If not, we could use a little more info like a description of the trick.

No. I wan't trying to be funny, but people often laugh at me. :D

I see your point, though, so a few more details... from my faulty memory...

The patter is about "marked cards", but the very subtle marking you can see on the back of those three red cards is not revealed until the end, as a kicker. The faces of the marked cards correspond to the markings - Ace, two and three of spades. One of the blue backed cards is actually a DB.

The method involves a lot of E*****y C****s, I seem to remember.

Thanks,

Guy

Finally found it. It was identified by someone at a magic society.

I'm not sure if I should revel the name here as I don't want the name to appear in the same thread as a picture of the set up.

But it's by John Cornelius.

Glad to hear you found what it was! Naming the effect probably won't cause any problems but we'll leave that up to you.
